Passage: Job 22:21 & Matthew 17:5

Acquaint thyself with Him!

Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee

(JOB 22:21)

Now, these words here are the words of Eliphaz to Job, but we must always remember that the Word of God is His word for God’s people today. Beloved, these words are for you and for me. And friend, for you who have yet to hear Him and believe on Him, I pray the Lord would be pleased to bless these words by the power of His Holy Spirit, and save you—“Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee” (JOB 22:21). These words are not a suggestion, or good advice, these words are words to be obeyed, these are the words of God! You see, the gospel is not good advice, the gospel is not a suggestion, rather the gospel is God’s command to all men every where to repent [ACTS 17:30]. And here in the book of Job, our Heavenly Father is declaring here what He tells us in another place regarding His beloved Son—“Here ye Him!” Friend, acquaint now thyself with Him, for there is salvation in no other. I would not have you to be acquainted with a system of theology, or a set of doctrines. No friend, if you must be saved—you will be saved being acquainted with Him! The Lord Jesus Christ. AMEN!
