Passage: Jeremiah 29:11 & Jude 1:24

An Expected End

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give
you an expected end.

(JEREMIAH 29:11)

Do you know what that expected end is beloved? The answer is found in JUDE chapter 1 verse 24—“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,” Our LORD finished the work of our salvation, and in the covenant of God’s eternal grace, we have always been in HIS view, HIS joy, that of presenting us faultless before the presence of HIS glory with exceeding joy! Beloved look unto JESUS the author and finisher of our faith! The author and finisher of our salvation, CHRIST JESUS the LORD who “…for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (HEBREWS 12:2)

He has us in view beloved! We are the joy set before him, that glorious day when He will give us—all His people an expected end. He tells us what it is beloved, “whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (JOHN 3:15)
