Passage: Ephesians 2:8 & Romans 2:4

By Grace

Any preaching that teaches that faith and repentance are conditions to be met by a sinner to be saved, is no gospel at all!

Yes, the sinner saved be grace has both faith and repentance; and has been made to know that everything he has in CHRIST (a full and complete pardon, a perfect righteousness, peace with GOD) is from it’s beginning to glory, entirely of GOD. Faith and repentance are not conditions for salvation but rather the sure evidences of it!

The word of GOD declares “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” EPHESIANS 2:8. The elect sinner of GOD is not saved by his or her repentance, but by GRACE is saved, and as evidence of this salvation, has been granted repentance towards GOD. The thought that repentance is a condition to be met for salvation—that’s works! May GOD give you HIS grace to get that thought out of your mind! For it is the riches of GOD’s goodness that leads a sinner to repentance (ROMANS 2:4). It is not the threatenings of GOD’s wrath, but by GOD’s goodness, found only in that grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. It is HIS goodness that grants us both repentance and faith.

It is by the GRACE OF GOD, by HIS GOODNESS, that HE GIVES that faith that saves, declared in His word as the “gift of God”, the faith that is not of us, the life and the faith of CHRIST is given to the sinner for salvation.
