…ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

(1 PETER 2:9-10)

Beloved, we have been chosen in Christ. God’s only Holy Book declares we “are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people" [indeed a purchased people] that shows forth the praise of the Lord Jesus Christ—declaring, salvation is of Him.

Beloved, He has “called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” Though you were in the darkness of this world, He has “called you” out from the tomb of your unbelief into “his marvelous light;” making you to know that it is by the precious blood and perfect righteousness of His beloved Son you “have obtained mercy.”

And all of this—being chosen, being called, having obtained mercy—not according to anything we have done, but according to His purpose and grace given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. Beloved we shall ever praise and glorify Him, for salvation is of the LORD! [2 TIMOTHY 1:9, JONAH 2:9] AMEN!
