The Gospel is not a theological position. The Gospel is not a denomination distinctive; nor is the Gospel a verse in the Bible, backed up by other verses. Well if it is not those things what is it? Beloved, our Gospel is a person, our GOD and SAVIOUR, CHRIST JESUS THE LORD.

Our Lord said “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish,…” JOHN 10:27-30

Beloved, what good news! CHRIST JESUS the LORD says that he gives eternal life to HIS sheep, and they shall never perish! I’m so glad that the gospel is not an offer, aren’t you? Our LORD sovereignly gives life to whom HE’s pleased to give life. (ROMANS 9:15-16)

When our LORD spoke of HIS people as being HIS sheep, HE was not teaching that every one in the world is a candidate to become a sheep; HE was teaching us that among the masses of humanity you will find only two types of people; people that are HIS sheep, and people that are not HIS sheep. It is through the preaching of the Gospel that HIS people will be made to hear HIS voice, and will savingly believe and follow HIM, and because HE is the author and finisher of their salvation; they shall never perish. HEAVENLY FATHER, he who has ears to hear (YOUR elect) let them to ever hear your SON by your SPIRIT. Amen. (LUKE 8:4-18)
