Passage: Malachi 1:10-14

Not Of Your Hand, But Of His

…that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand?

(MALACHI 1:13)

All we can offer to GOD of our own hand is described here by the prophet Malachi, those things which are torn, things which are lame, and things which are sick. (ISAIAH 64:6)

Beloved, the LORD will not accept an offering of your hand…look away from your hand and look to HIS hand; HIS hand offers a pure offering on the behalf of sinners. Our HIGH PRIEST, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, offers to our HEAVENLY FATHER, of HIS hand, a pure offering, through which all our iniquity is pardoned, for we have received of the LORD’s hand double for all our sins! Beloved, our warfare, our reconciliation, our salvation is accomplished through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (MALACHI 1:11, ISAIAH 40:1-2, HEBREWS 10:10, 1 TIMOTHY 1:15)

Friend, don’t offer what is of your hand, look to him who has offered a pure offering for sinners. GOD has provided HIMSELF A LAMB, a well pleasing LAMB that offers the pure offering of HIMSELF to save sinners like you and me. If you go to hell, GOD will not be blamed; if you go to hell, it will be because you neglected such a GREAT SAVIOUR; the LORD JESUS CHRIST! How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him. (HEBREWS 2:3)

Have you heard what was spoken by the LORD JESUS CHRIST? He declares “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” What a blessed testimony baptism is, it is the answer of a good conscience toward God; a good conscience by the sin purging sacrifice of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Baptism is a blessed testimony toward GOD that ye believe on [CHRIST] whom he hath sent. So what is hindering you to be baptized? Nothing! if you can say, by GOD’s underserved grace, “I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON OF GOD.” May GOD give you grace to believe ‘HE shall save you from your sins’. (MARK 16:16, 1 PETER 3:21, ACTS 8:37, MATTHEW 1:21)

Beloved, we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. (HEBREWS 2:1)
