Beloved, put off the old man. ‘How do you do that?’ Believe on the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Beloved, put on the new man. ‘How do you do that?’ Believe CHRIST. Beloved, put on His righteousness and holiness — “which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” (EPHESIANS 4:24)

This is the true refuge and haven of GOD’s people; the righteousness and true holiness of CHRIST. Paul said “…I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith” (PHILIPPIANS 3:8-9)

How can you know if CHRIST is your refuge? How can you know if CHRIST is your peace? How can you know that HIS righteousness has been made yours? Do you only trust in CHRIST’s doing, and count all the doing of your flesh, but dung? (PHILIPPIANS 3:8-9) Do you only look to what CHRIST did in His flesh, and count all the doing of your own flesh one big filthy ruined rag? (ISAIAH 64:6) Has the Holy One of Israel revealed to you that all you are is evil? (Read MATTHEW 7:11, LUKE 11:13)

Like all GOD’s people, Paul did not want to be found in his doing, rather he wanted to be found in the righteous doing and true holiness of CHRIST. His ardent desire was to “…be found in [CHRIST], not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law [by his imperfect keeping of the law], but [I want to be found in] that which is through the faith of CHRIST [by CHRIST’s perfect keeping of the law], the righteousness which is of God by faith” (PHILIPPIANS 3:9)

Beloved, believe it! The righteousness of CHRIST which is of GOD, is freely given and made yours by faith. “To him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” (ROMANS 4:5)

Friend, if by GOD’s unmerited, undeserved grace, you find yourself believing CHRIST JESUS the LORD — rejoice! For great is your peace…He saith “In righteousness shalt thou be established…” He saith “their righteousness is of me…” that… “To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.” (1 THESSALONIANS 3:13)

Beloved, above all and in all believe CHRIST the LORD our righteousness. CHRIST for us, CHRIST who died for the ungodly, the LAMB that was slain, HE is in the midst of the throne to the glory of the FATHER and the adoring joy of all the saints. Beloved, in heaven we will sing of our redeemer—“Thou art worthy!”—“Thou hast redeemed us with Thy blood!” (REVELATION 5:9)

Friend, how do you put off that old man of sin and death and put on the new man of righteousness and life? Believe on the one GOD sent, our LORD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST and thou shalt be saved! AMEN. (JOHN 6:25-29)
