“Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself. So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name. Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.” (PSALM 80:17-19)

LORD turn us, again. Turn us from trusting in anything we have done to save us, ‘O LORD GOD of hosts, cause thy face to shine’ in the face of your Son JESUS CHRIST, that we might see all the filth we are, and be saved looking to “the man of thy right hand,” the one whom thou made strong for thyself, the LORD JESUS CHRIST. (2 CORINTHIANS 4:6)

How strong has our HEAVENLY FATHER made our Lord? Beloved He has been given all power in heaven and in earth! The man of His right hand, the man who now sits on the very throne of GOD is GOD! He has all power in heaven and in earth to save His beloved people — And by Him beloved “we shall be saved.” (PSALM 80:19, MATTHEW 1:21, JOHN 17:1-3) Amen!

Friend, if you believe you got saved back in nineteen whatever, or in two thousand and whatever, and you think you got everything ‘under control’ because you ‘got saved’ and don’t need to pray according to Psalm 80. Well if that’s your thinking, I have no gospel for you. The gospel is for those who need to be saved by CHRIST alone.

Who are those who need to be saved? Those who know that if they are to be saved, they must be saved by the LORD. GOD must turn me, GOD must cause His light to shine, to show me that all that I am is but loss. Blessed be the Lord, His beloved Son, by His blood and righteousness, His people are made whole, and they shall be saved!

The apostle Paul, a man greatly used of the LORD, do you remember what he said just before he went to glory? Did he describe himself as someone who wasn’t a sinner? No! Just before he went to glory — he saw himself in the light of CHRIST as a sinner who needed a savior. He wrote “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that CHRIST JESUS CAME INTO THE WORLD TO SAVE SINNERS; of whom I am chief.” (1 TIMOTHY 1:15)

HEAVENLY FATHER turn us again to your beloved SON, the one you sent into the world to save sinners. Cause HIS light to shine in our hearts, that we may behold your glory in HIS face. Everlastingly turn us to HIM, our LORD and GOD. FATHER I beg you “So we will not go back from thee: QUICKEN US, and we will call upon thy name;” and we shall be saved. Amen.
